ABOUT US
Harvard Community RadioOUR MISSION
WHIW-LP 101.3 FM, Harvard Broadcasting Inc., is an independent, noncommercial, educational media organization. Our mission is to engage with the community to provide diverse music, entertainment and alternative news and public affairs programming, with emphasis on local people, issues, and cultures.
ABOUT PROGRAMS & FUNDING
The listening audience of WHIW is diverse, and our programming reflects that. The views, opinions, and positions expressed by the hosts of the aired programs are theirs alone and do not necessarily reflect the opinions, official policy, or position of WHIW (Harvard Broadcasting, Inc.) or its volunteers.
Harvard Broadcasting Incorporated was established as a 501(c)3, tax exempt nonprofit organization in July of 2013. We are volunteer-driven in that the business operations, production work and on-air personalities are all volunteers of the organization. We are always looking for more people to be involved!
As a community radio station, we are under strict rules as it pertains to funding. Our funding is provided through grants, donations and underwriting from the listening community and our members. Â
